Terms of Service
The rules for using Lanku: your account, what you may create, how credits and plans work, and what Lanku does and does not promise.
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of Lanku ("Lanku", "we", "us"), an AI-assisted video production workspace.
By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy, which form part of them.
Current version: 2026-08-12.1, effective 2026-08-12.
2. Eligibility and your account
Lanku is intended for use by adults and by organisations acting through authorised individuals. It is not designed or marketed for use by children as account holders.
A minimum-age policy for your jurisdiction is a pre-launch decision by the operator; until it is published here, treat Lanku as an adult, professional tool.
You must provide accurate account information and you are responsible for everything done through your account.
3. Account security
Keep your credentials confidential and use a password you do not reuse elsewhere.
Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
We may suspend access where necessary to protect accounts, other users or the platform.
4. Acceptable use
Your use of Lanku must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy.
We do not manually review every generation. We may act on reports, automated signals or operational evidence of misuse, including suspending or terminating access.
5. Your content
"Your content" means the ideas, prompts, scripts, character descriptions, uploads and other material you provide.
You keep the rights you already hold in your content. You grant Lanku a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, store, process and transmit it strictly to operate the service for you — including sending it to the AI or infrastructure provider needed to perform the operation you requested.
You confirm you have the rights necessary to submit the content you upload, including for any people, brands or third-party works it contains.
6. AI-generated output
Lanku generates output using automated models. Output is produced automatically and is not reviewed by a human before you receive it.
Generated results can contain errors, artefacts, inaccuracies or unexpected content, and repeating the same request can produce a different result.
Lanku does not guarantee that output is unique, original, copyrightable, free of third-party rights, or cleared for trademark, likeness or any other use.
You are responsible for reviewing generated output and for deciding whether and how to publish or otherwise use it, including obtaining any permissions your use requires.
7. Third-party AI services and providers
Lanku is built on third-party AI models and cloud infrastructure. Content you submit for a generation is transmitted to the provider required to perform that specific operation.
Your use of generated output may also be subject to the applicable provider's terms.
We do not make representations on behalf of those providers about how they retain or use data. See the Privacy Policy for the categories of providers involved.
8. Service availability and variability
Lanku is provided on an "as available" basis. Features, models and providers can change, and generation capacity depends on third-party services.
We do not offer a service level guarantee, and we do not guarantee that a particular generation will succeed, complete within a given time, or match a previous result.
9. Plans, credits and payment
Generation and rendering operations consume Lanku credits. Different operations consume different amounts, set by the current credit cost configuration shown in the product.
Credits are internal usage units. They are not money, not a stored-value instrument, and are not redeemable for cash unless a published commercial policy expressly says otherwise.
Subscription plans grant a credit allowance for each billing period. Plan, allowance and balance are shown in Billing & Plan and Usage.
Payments are currently operated in test mode only. Lanku is not accepting live customer payments at this time; no real charge is made through the product.
10. Renewal, changes and cancellation
Where a paid subscription is active, it renews for successive billing periods until cancelled.
Upgrades and downgrades take effect according to the subscription lifecycle shown in Billing & Plan, and cancellation stops future renewal rather than erasing the current period.
If a payment fails, the subscription enters a past-due state and access to plan allowances may be limited until it is resolved.
Subscription management, where enabled, is handled through the payment provider's customer portal.
11. Refunds
Credit restoration: when a generation fails, Lanku applies its automated credit refund and recovery rules to return credits for work that was charged but not delivered. This is automatic and internal to your credit balance.
Monetary refunds: a monetary refund policy for subscription payments is a commercial decision that has not yet been finalised and is flagged as a pre-launch decision. Nothing here promises a monetary refund.
12. Termination and account deletion
You can close your account yourself in Settings → Account & Privacy. Deletion is permanent.
Closing your account removes your private creator content, eligible stored media and your login. Certain financial, security and audit records are retained as described in the Privacy Policy, minimised or stripped of your content where practical.
You can download a copy of your account data before deleting.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or that put the platform, its providers or other users at risk.
13. Disclaimers and limits on our commitments
Lanku is provided without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that output will be accurate, suitable for your purpose, or lawful to publish in your context.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Any jurisdiction-specific terms, governing law and dispute resolution clauses require legal review and are a pre-launch decision.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. The active version and effective date are always shown at the top of this page.
Material changes will be published here with a new version number; continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
