Lanku

Privacy Policy

What Lanku collects, why, who processes it, how long it is kept, and exactly what happens when you delete your account.

Effective 2026-08-12

1. Scope

This policy describes how Lanku handles information when you use the product.

Current version: 2026-08-12.1, effective 2026-08-12.

2. Information we hold

Account identity: your email address and the authentication records needed to sign you in.

Profile and preferences: onboarding answers, workspace settings and product preferences you save.

Projects and creative content: project details, story ideas, prompts, scenes, dialogue, characters, templates and presets.

Uploaded and generated media: images, video, audio and exported files stored in your workspace.

Generation and job metadata: which operation ran, which provider category and model were used, status, timing, and error information.

Usage and credit history: credit grants, spends, refunds and the usage events behind them.

Subscription and payment metadata: plan, status, billing period and payment-provider identifiers. Lanku does not receive or store your card details; those are handled by the payment processor.

Operational and security logs: request, rate-limit, incident and audit records used to keep the platform safe and reliable.

3. Why we use it

To deliver the service: creating, storing and displaying your projects, scenes, characters and media.

To process AI generation: sending the prompt and reference material required to the provider that performs the operation you requested.

To operate credits and billing: metering usage, granting plan allowances, charging and refunding credits, and maintaining subscription records.

To protect the service: rate limiting, abuse prevention, authorisation checks and investigating incidents.

To provide support and operate the platform: diagnosing failures, reconciling stuck jobs and correcting billing errors.

To improve the service: understanding aggregate reliability, failure patterns and feature usage.

4. Third-party processing

Lanku relies on third-party AI providers and cloud infrastructure. Content you submit for a generation is transmitted to the provider needed to perform that operation. Without that transmission the feature cannot work.

Provider categories: AI text/story, AI image, AI video, AI voice and audio, hosting and database, media storage, rendering infrastructure, and payment processing.

We do not sell your content, and we do not make claims on providers' behalf about their own retention or model-training practices. Review the relevant provider's terms if that matters to your use case.

5. Retention

Creative content and media are kept while your account exists, until you delete them.

Credit, usage, subscription and audit records are kept as financial and operational evidence.

Operational logs and health snapshots are kept for a limited operational window.

6. Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself in Settings → Account & Privacy. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Removed: your projects, scenes, characters, templates and presets; your uploaded and generated media in eligible storage; your profile and onboarding answers; and your login.

Stripped of your content: generation and job records that must remain for operational accounting are anonymised — prompts and media references are removed.

Retained: credit ledger entries, usage events, subscription and billing records, and security/audit logs, kept as financial and security evidence and minimised where practical. A closure record is kept so the deletion itself is provable.

Active work blocks deletion: if generations, renders or exports are still running, closure is refused until they settle, so nothing is charged for work you will never receive.

Any active test-mode subscription is cancelled as part of closure.

We do not claim that every record is erased immediately; the retained categories above are the exceptions.

7. Downloading your data

Settings → Account & Privacy provides a self-service JSON export of the account records represented in the export: profile, projects, scenes, characters, templates, presets, job metadata, credit and usage history, and subscription metadata.

The export includes references to your media files rather than bundling the binary files themselves. Download any images, audio or video you want to keep from the product before you delete your account.

8. Cookies and tracking

Lanku uses essential storage only: the session/authentication token that keeps you signed in, and local preferences such as sidebar and onboarding state.

We do not use advertising cookies, marketing pixels or third-party cross-site tracking in the product.

If analytics or marketing tracking is introduced later, this section and any consent controls required will be updated first.

9. Security

Access to your data is enforced per account at the database layer, generation endpoints are rate limited, and administrative actions are audited.

No system is perfectly secure; we do not guarantee that a breach can never occur. Lanku does not claim any formal certification such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA or PCI.

10. Children

Lanku is not intended for children as account holders and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. A formal minimum-age position is a pre-launch decision by the operator.

11. Changes and contact

Updates are published here with a new version number and effective date.
